Carthage Junior High School Student Council members visit with children at the Laverne Williams Children's Christmas Party on Saturday at Memorial Hall in Carthage. Each year, the Carthage Police Department gives children from less fortunate families something for Christmas by hosting the party. Twenty four STUCO members also raised more than $800 for the event and volunteered setting up Friday night at helped on Saturday. The event featured live music, treats and gift give aways.
