David Thronebury, of Dennis, Kan., tees off during the first day of Joplin Disc Golf Clib's three-day 14th Annual Four States Open on Friday at McClelland Park. About 175 professional and amateur disc golfers will compete for cash and prizes in a variety of events, with golfers from as far as Iowa and Texas competing.
