Nayeli Vasquez-Yac, third grader at Columbian Elementary in Carthage, holds a book about a Guatemalan girl who weaves dresses as she wears the dress she wove. Vasquez-Yac is part of the 70 percent Hispanic population at the school and is herself Guatemala.
