The two were some of the 36 area high school students participating this summer in the Freeman Student Volunteer Futures Program, which exposes young people to the field of medicine. Upon completion of a variety of tasks, the student volunteers are then eligible for scholarships to colleges of their choice. The volunteers program is in its tenth year at Freeman.
