On Thursday, Heather and Jeff Grills, of Phoenix Fired Art, present checks from the Empy Bowls fundraiser to (back row from left) Maj. Douglas Stearns, Joplin Salvation Army, Rodney Rambo, executive director of Crosslines, Eileen Nichols, Webb City Farmers Market, Travis Hurley, director of advancement at Watered Gardens, and Stephanie Denham, nutrition programs director for the Area Agency on Aging. The fundraiser sold 677 bowls, and with the proceeds from bowls and a raffle raised $17,017 to be distributed amont the five agencies.
