Edna, Ks. artist Nancy Wildwood discusses the techniques she used for one of the pieces in her "Animal Farm" exhibit during the First Thursday Artwalk on Thursday night at the Urban Art Gallery. Wildwood, a former cake decorator, used cake decorating tools such as piping tips and offset spatulas to create a sculptured look to her piece. Wildwood, a self-taught painter, created the techniques by experimenting with spackle, gesso plaster and a variety of other media. Her exhibit will be on display through August at the gallery.
